Thanks, Jesus. My readings on the historical Jesus did not include any of this, and I am sorry that I've not already appropriately digested your earlier comments or those above. I find them very interesting. I've read Bart Ehrman's work and several other sources. There are also Josephus scholars who would see Jesus as Jewish, but by your definition it seems you might also argue with Josephus scholars about his identity (which was also Roman). In support of some of your arguments, read also Rudolf Bultmann's 'Jesus Christ and Mythology', though this too is controversial. Although we do not agree on all of the points above, I will want to read more about a number of the other comments you've made, and will respond again in this thread, hopefully within a day or two.
