Not a Zionist, though; he basically said to pay taxes to Caesar in Mark 12:13-17. For obvious reasons, the Zealots (who were the closest thing to Zionists back then) didn't want to do that. Also, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't approve of Israel's treatment of Palestinians; see Mark 12:31.

Kind of like now. Zionist plutocrats don't pay taxes and Jesus didn't want the poor to follow them. He wanted a brotherhood of those doing good for Christ for the less fortunate and lowly.
