Too bad but get woke, go broke.

Maybe they should not have been pissing away money on a fellowship that included the ADL, feminism, trans-feminism, and a grab bag of other identitarian nonsense?

Fuck them. I supported them back when they were in the business of building a good browser. If they want to be social justice activists then they’d better find a way to use Twitter likes to pay rent.

Edit: not.

Not like google is any better, and they are the main force behind the chromium engine. There are pretty much only two engines in town. Last I checked Mozilla was not actively censoring people on the internet, unlike google. It's one thing for a company to say things you disagree with. It's an other when a company tries to censor people they disagree with.

So we pretty much only have two companies working on a modern browser. Also both those companies have the most say when it comes to drafting and creating the standards for web. While you can use de-googled versions of chromium or independent builds of firefox. It does not really change the status quo. What we need is either a fork or a from the ground engine that also can have say when it comes to drafting standards. You also need to hope this organization does not get canceled for not following the leftist zeitgeist.

Also Firefox pushed for ESNI in TLS 1.3 and was the first browser to offer support for it. This protocol level extension makes censorship more difficult/ So much so that some countries are trying to prevent it's use.

You don't think I have not gone through about:config and made serious changes? I am quite aware of some those things.

Then you well know I ain't BSing you. You well know the persistent (or should I say insidious?) flow of Chrome code being ported into Firefox with each new rendition, the number of Google URLs in 'about:config', and so on. It would seem the only thing you are unprepared to admit is the difference between Firefox and Chrome is swiftly becoming more and more cosmetic....and it is only a matter of time before the browsers are indistinguishable.

Firefox has been in a tailspin for at least a couple years now. Mozilla Mothership has done pretty much all they could possibly do to sink that ship. I've detested Firefox almost as much as Chrome for just as long, but kept it around for the addons.... with the sabotage of them, and their replacement with the shitty WebExtensions, it is time to send this dog to the pound for some good euthanasia.

When I upgrade to Win 7 and MX Linux in January, Firefox will not survive the transition. I will be moving on to derivatives (Cyberfox, Waterfox, Basilisk, Comodo IceDragon, & TOR browser).

I'm on the platform now, guess I must be in the minority eh? Someone here recommended another one but I forgot the name. As long as ffox does what I want it to I'll stay loyal but of late it won't download my youtubes anymore. The addons are asking me to join some premium shit.

When it comes to downloading youtube, I prefer to use good ol' youtube-dl for my downloads. Get ffmpeg as well for pure audio and put it in the same folder and you got yourself a tool that downloads directly from Youtube, with the ability to get subtitles too.

Gets the whole tube no dramas.
