It will make the story more interesting if he has some proof that there is weight behind his words calling him "a pedo guy". I guess that it would be enough to show that he has associated with pedophiles or is one.

I think it all comes down to the fact they rejected his metal pod idea to save that soccer team trapped in those caves. Musk wanted to be a hero with his invention, and some regular diver beat him, and it's making him crazy.

It would be a weird twist if he knew the guy or something though
