It's not a taboo question. It's been answered for ages now:

Hint: It's a fetish or it's a social contagion (for boys and girls respectively)

Why can't it be a fetish for girls or social contagion for boys?

I think the reality of the situation is everyone is just trying to frame women as the victims and men as the criminals as usual, when really they're both doing the same things. We have this inability to awknowledge any wrongdoing by women or goodwill by men. And it's been this way since the dawn of time.

I've read enough posts on the ftm subreddit to know that it most certainly can be a fetish for women. Still I can't shake the impression that it's more males doing it for fetishistic reasons. And relatively few males doing it due to "social contagion." Hard to say without actual numbers.

But I just feel like female sexuality tends to get dismissed as not sexual or at the very least harmless and normal, whereas everything men do is assumed to be sexual, and not in a good way. And we are just incapable of seeing women as dirty or evil, to the point where judges only give them 1/6th of the punishment a man would get for the same crime.

But clearly there are differences in how male and female sexualities present.

Men are observably far more likely to develop fetishes, no question.

If you want to talk about negative aspects of female sexuality I'd say the use of sexuality in intrasex competition is pretty bad in women. To the point that many women fantasise about (or actually enact) sexually torturing women who threaten them. Then also the targeting of the partners of their friends who they are competition with but wont admit it. But that doesn't really have negative consequences for men so likely you don't care.

And that's not a fetish?

Men are more sexual in general because of the stupid disposable biology, but I don't know how many times I've seen sexual fantasies considered a fetish or not solely based on the sex of the person who has it. When women do it's usually brushed off as something else.

The autogynephiles are less common than you'd think. There are plenty of other reasons for them to pull that card, like cheating in sports, access to the girls' bathrooms and locker rooms, and being able to scream "OPPRESSION!" at every criticism. Or because they feel male guilt like white people feel white guilt. I think most of the AGP trans "girls" online are really just crossdressers pretending for internet points and fap material. Trans "boys" do this too, but it's harder for them to crossdress or anything because society doesn't restrict women like it does men. I don't think I've ever seen either in real life, so with as many as there seem to be online I doubt they're serious.

Women are more susceptible to the social contagion due to being raised to think they're super special just for being female, so they always like to find "diversity" labels for themselves. And also because society tells them life is so much easier on the other side (and they almost always find out the opposite). But ever since this all started the majority has become trans men, so that may be purely additive.

All of this could've been avoided if Barack Obama hadn't popularized transgenderism for his agenda and this whole "social construct" thing never happened and no one even knew what it was except the ones who really badly need it.

The percentage of men who get off on cross dressing is around 2%. That's a similar number to men who are gay. So the potential to become AGP is not rare at all and it's becoming more common because these men see other being worshiped for diving into a delusion.

AGP itself may not be rare, but I know 2% of men aren't pretending to transition so it probably needs to go a lot further before they decide to do it in real life. Usually they just dress up to get off and then post to reddit for karma.

^ the correct answer.

If they'd read the MtF typology paper, they'd know it's not all one way but those wordswordswords have already been typed out and generalizations are close enough to work off of in this case.
