My initial response was going to be it is clearly visible, but with 70% of the population overweight or obese, I concede. Outside of these autogynephiles, it's arguably unsafe for post-op trans-women to use male facilities.

I'm pretty sure post-op surgery isn't equivalent to castration because they may reuse some of the skin. We agree on most points, but our agreement probably ends with whether or not a post-op male should be allowed in female spaces.

A leading question for anyone to answer:

  • Should a female (that is, a human with female reproductive structures) with XY chromosomes be allowed in female-only spaces?

So what are the statistics of XY chromosomed females that have female reproductive structures? Reproduction, in itself, implies necessary gametes to reproduce. A nuvagina isn't a reproductive structure, it's an inverted tube of flesh.

Greater than zero, but you still didn't answer the question posed.

I've had relatively positive overall feelings about 2 transwomen posters here-- one of whom posts very well thought out videos, one of whom has a no-nonsense view on child abuse on any level. Were I to be able to personally evaluate them (in person) for a little while to confirm my views, I would possibly consider feeling comfortable with allowing them in the same restroom as my daughter, or using a shared-stall bathroom with them.

The thing is that women aren't allowed to vet TW first. We're just expected to see them as our own and embrace them, despite the incredibly high rates of sex abuse within the community, the blatant misogyny, and the rape threats. They're not thoroughly psychologically evaluated and vetted for a while before being allowed into spaces with physically vulnerable and weaker women and children, so we get the Yanivs of the community that make used tampon tea to get estrogen. They even allow convicted sex abusers that have been imprisoned to transition, then free them into women's prisons to rape and psychologically terrorize women that are trapped there. If they were actually put through a rigorous psychological evaluation to ensure that they're not a threat by a non-biased set of multiple and unrelated providers first, potentially even relinquishing internet privacy to make sure that their search history is clear of CP or abusive behavior, then possibly. That will never happen though.

Right. I only consider post-op trans individuals to really be "trans." The others are just men in dresses, women in suits.

If a trans-identified male feels unsafe in a male facility he can simply change his appearance and voila, his "oppression" disappears.

That is not the case with women (nor with black men): we have no closet to hide in and no matter what we wear, our oppression is impossible to escape.

For instance, most women, no matter what she's wearing, can be forced to reproduce from approx. the ages of 12-50, but are often sexually assaulted/raped even before or after those ages. Women are men's prey from cradle to grave.

Trans-identified males, no matter how they feel in their heads, cannot be forced to reproduce, and again, can exit their "oppression" by a simple change of appearance.

Women fought (and are still fighting) for bathrooms in order to participate in public life. Lack of toilet access was used by men to keep women at home, in fact, it was sometimes referred to as the "urinary leash."

Bottom line: women face real risks, including the risk of forced reproduction, when men are allowed into spaces in which women and their children are naked or vulnerable. Women cannot simply change their appearance and those risks disappear.

Women (and children) are not human shields for trans-identified males who want to "live their truth."

If men want to be gender non-conforming in public, sort that shit out with other men and leave women and children alone.
