Likely a AHS sockpuppet. Probably someone who hates himself.
The superstraight sub has been very friendly against everyone, the same is with gay/lesbian subs.

We often get some waves of these people, whenever a group moves over from reddit.
Just keep reporting them, that makes it easier for the admins.

There's no mods in this sub, so it's only SaidIt admins doing work at the moment.

Looks like you've been around SaidIt for a while and mod other subs, if you want it, maybe Magnora will pass this one along to you?

[–]Terfenclaw 9 insightful - 4 fun9 insightful - 3 fun10 insightful - 4 fun -  (3 children)

I've been wondering about who created this sub and its moderation.

The great thing about the reddit sub was that it was very friendly and diverse and didn't allow slurs or hate speech to sully the movement. I hope this sub will have similar moderation.

[–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

/u/Terfenclaw, saiditter for 8 months.

/u/NutterButterFlutter, saiditter for 1 year, mod of /s/LGBDropTheT, /s/GetTheLOut, /s/LGB, /s/LGBAlliance, /s/Bisexuals.

Why don't one or both of you mod this sub? Short or long term. Invite others to co-mod lightly and fairly.

Be sure to add the respectful rules in the sidebox.

You don't have to be "SuperStraight" to be co-mod /s/SuperStraight and you might learn stuff if you aren't. (I wasn't part of the Ruling Class when I was mod of /s/RulingClass.)

All you have to do is include "/u/magnora7" in a comment to summon his attention and ask. It's up to him to make it happen and help distribute his burdens.

This seems to currently be a hot topic and SaidIt could use your help.

[–]NutterButterFlutter 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

Thanks for asking, but that would be a "no" from me. I have no bandwidth to mod additional subs, and don't feel I'm the appropriate person to mod s/SuperStraight anyway.

Best thing to do is probably to ignore these threads apart from reporting them. The less answers & attention they have, the better.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 9 insightful - 4 fun9 insightful - 3 fun10 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

This. I been reporting them as soon as they pop up.

This is certain someone tries to make up evidences for Supers movement to be Nazi and hateful towards trans people.

I reported all his posts and blocked him. Classic. Hopefully mods take care of it.

Yeah, some faction of AHS has been attacking Ruqqus long before this SuperStraight stuff started. The same playbook as always - post disgusting things that nobody actually believes and pretend that that's what their enemies think.

/u/magnora7, Why won't you do something about Airbus, Bob3 and Chipit, far worse than DioJr?

[–][deleted] 13 insightful - 3 fun13 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 3 fun -  (26 children)

If we're going to ban people for saying things we don't like I could have just stayed on reddit.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (18 children)

Sometimes I see Reddit as an alternative to Saidit. :-)

[–]jet199 5 insightful - 5 fun5 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

Good, go there.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 5 fun5 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

You're one of the more liberal people here, reddit eats that shit up.

[–]RightousBob 5 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 4 fun -  (14 children)

You should close your saidit accounts and go back to reddit.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

Why?

[–]JasonCarswell 4 insightful - 5 fun4 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 5 fun -  (12 children)

To do many of us a great favour.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (11 children)

What's the favour - Jason? What is the problem with me at Saidit?

(It's interesting to see your note here, as I've been very supporttive of you and Dio in the past and there have been numerous conversations. It's interesting to me that you agree with Bob. I am somewhat surprised, but perhaps shouldn't be. Bob and others very much want an echo-chamber at Saidit that will not have much depth, and will continue to push corporate disinformation and misinformation while they claim that they're doing the opposite. I appreciate that you may also want to do this, but perhaps with a different kind of echo chamber. Also, /u/magnora7 knows much more about your shenanigans than I do, and I wonder what's at issue. I know something of his history and think that he has a very good eye for identifying dangerous extremism and doesn't really want to tolerate it. As with discussions with /u/TheAmeliaMay and /u/AmericanMuskrat and several others, there is often an agreement that Saidit will grow and be more interesting if it diversifies. But many here don't want that.)

So - I am interested in your opinion, Jason - why should I go?

[–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

Like Bob3 (not to be confused with "righteous" RightousBob) you are only insightful part-time and annoying shit-disturber the other part, though more polite and a naïve supporter of the establishment, MSM, scientism, and authoritarianism - and by complicity or complacency, support all the evil shit the mafia corporatocracy does.

Recently being less contrarian doesn't erase your history. That will take time to fade out and evidence that you're evolving. Everyone evolves, and I only hope you can too.

I don't care about tribes nor echo-chambers, but they do exist and should be considered.

Shenanigans is a choice grey word. I can easily deny this or I can admit to some - all depending on how you choose to define it. Even M7 has not clearly defined what I actually did wrong in the past the many times he's threatened me.

I know more about M7's shenanigans too. I've refrained from openly compiling them for people to see or use against SaidIt. I am NOT against M7 and certainly not against SaidIt.

I am not remotely "dangerous extremism", if that's what you're implying, and I have zero evidence that DioJr was either. Stop kissing the ass of authority. Shake off your brainwashing and obedience training.

I am not against diversification in many ways you may define it. I don't know why you brought it up - or half this other shit.

You are a time suck. No more today.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Sorry to waste your time, Jason. Don't feel obligated to respond.

In answer to your note, "I don't know why you brought it up":

/u/RightousBob said to me: "You should close your saidit accounts and go back to reddit."

I asked: "Why?"

You wrote: "To do many of us a great favour."

I asked you: "why should I go?"

I don't think you answered it, at least not directly. No need to reply.

If I've misread this and the responses from Bob and Jason are to you, and not to me, my questions to them are the same, though about other users.

The way I see it: an anti-censorship website, with users who don't like censorship, ceases the appearance of having active anti-censorship users when a noticeable proportion of the most active users want to censor other users.

    [–]Zapped 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

The more people that think that way, the more traction this site gets.

    [–]JasonCarswell 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

That's a bullshit response! It's NOT the point, "doing something" does not necessarily mean banning. We don't have ANY say or control in who or how people are banned on Reddit OR on SaidIt.

The other day I day I intentionally stooped to fighting fire with fire.

M7 has warned me and again for comparatively minor infractions, exposing his obvious hypocrisy because I've never seen him spank the ABCs of SaidIt (Airbus, Bob3, Chipit, and sometimes socks) who are obviously shit disturbing with immunity. Read my responses if you give a shit.

I will resume my previous average level above the fray.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

    That's a bullshit response

It's a popular response, I am not the only one who feels this isn't productive.

M7 has warned me and again for comparatively minor infractions, exposing his obvious hypocrisy because I've never seen him spank the ABCs of SaidIt (Airbus, Bob3, Chipit, and sometimes socks)

I usually skim past the fights on here, they don't interest me. People going to get mad and fight though, it's human. I'm certainly not perfect about it, but I do try. I'm all for less of it, but more moderation, whether it directly or indirectly results in people leaving isn't the solution to a healthy site.

My suggestion is we all relax, have a bong and a blintz. It's Friday after all.

    [–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

I don't like drama either. The ABC STABs brought it to me, then scatter when M7 decides to chime in at me instead of them. I'm just calling it out. Feel free to correct flaws in my reasoning.

How would you go about proposing improvements to SaidIt when the admin is coasting without goals, plans, or a future, offering no solutions and resisting any efforts for developing things?

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

Feel free to correct flaws in my reasoning.

There's a reason people scatter when admins show up. It's like when a flock of gazelles spot a lion. Self preservation.

How would you go about proposing improvements to SaidIt when the admin is coasting without goals, plans, or a future, offering no solutions and resisting any efforts for developing things?

They just improved the icons man. New user literally comes on, offers better icons, and boom -- they implement it. I like hands off moderation myself. And the improvements -- and we agree on a number of them -- I'd like to see are pretty intensive work.

    [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

If I wasn't confident or trying to improve things I wouldn't be persisting. I'm both.

I've faced off with M7 several times before. I've been in the right and/or left wondering what exactly triggers him. The first time I was devastated and confused for months. I came back and refuse to be intimidated. I guarantee if he bans me it will be worse for him. I won't seek childish vengeance or anything. This is not a threat, it's his credibility on the line too. I stand by everything I've said and done, admit my errors, and regret only that I haven't/couldn't do more.

I came on Nov 15 and I made the new SaidIt logo in January and M7 finally added it in May, if I recall. Don't know why the delay. Maybe he needed a lawyer to make sure my gift was his. I urged him to open source it. Soon after I did the PoD. I also offered to improve the icons and other stuff years ago. The new icons are great. I can still improve them with a few more tweaks, but I'm not aiming to steal anyone's glory so I've been laying low on that front.

What are your improvement ideas? Since d3rr withdrew I don't expect any radical improvements to SaidIt functionality, much less management, especially with the current asstroll infestation. I'd love to be proven wrong. That's why I'm looking beyond SaidIt for the future, then I hope to pull it along somehow if possible.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

    What are your improvement ideas?

Ultimately I think saidit should port to its own codebase written from scratch. Although with all this displeasure over the icons not being perfect right away makes me think no matter what, people are here because they're happy with how things are and don't necessarily want change. Really, you can't please everyone. I know you want lots of subs, I want no subs but with a way for people to still see what interests them with filters. Instead of opting in to content, you opt out of it except for nsfw/extreme content.

Decentralization would be nice, so would crypto tipping rather than upvotes. And while I love the icq chat idea, one room or just a handful is probably better than a room for every sub.

I came on Nov 15 and I made the new SaidIt logo in January and M7 finally added it in May, if I recall

Way better response time than you'd ever get from reddit.

    [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

How about a migration to Lemmy with decentralization? At least for the time being. Then maybe we can build Phoenix Forum and/or just build Lemmy up into being a Phoenix-like or even fork it.

I have another good name that's also kind of fun and with so much potential that I feel I need to keep it from the public for now, just in case. I could PM you if interested.

" people are here because they're happy with how things are and don't necessarily want change "

You don't know that. Sure things are better here than anywhere else IMO. But there's always room for improvement. And, if they don't know what could be then they'll just settle for what is.

I don't want a lot of subs for no reason. I want topical subs, (different than community subs, project subs, blog subs, etc) to be a better research tool.

Like you, I would rather there be no subs, but metatags and filters and favourites (like multisubs). Yes, I've always supported opt-out of subs (was better before the explosion of sub chaos). I would also LOVE for there to be a hierarchy classification of subs. For example: music, games, movies, tv, celebs - all under entertainment. Wikipedia has "categories" which would be great to mimic. Crypto rewards would be wonderful. Maybe I'd be rich by now, or maybe I'd be same ol same ol broke ass. I'll never know. Yes! I said the many chat rooms was too much. Better if folks could make rooms as necessary, private or not. Reddit is a corporation, comparing them is like comparing apples and A Clockwork Orange. I've never given a fuck about Reddit.

Bob3 's cred has always been half insightful half asstroll. It's M7's cred that erodes when he lets this shit persist with immunity yet craps on me for having a few rougher comments one intentional day that clearly exposes his hypocrisy.

I've developed an interesting conspiracy theory to explain M7, purely speculatively. Maybe one day I'll share it.

        [–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

I appreciate your appreciation. I bring up ideas to improve things. M7 seems determined not to. He's unable, unwilling, or impotent to improve things. Or he's part of some psy-op experiment to study and focus on anti-authoritarians. This site could go down any day and we'd never know why nor have any backup plan.

I don't envy M7's burdens, but he chose to take them on, and continues to insist that he do it all without help from a reasonably sized community from which he could easily recruit folks he's know for years and trusts. He could easily promote the "donate" from the footer to the header and even employ people to help. There are doubtless other solutions too. If he even considers any he does nothing about it.

But he is the one that's actually making it happen day after day.

He is NOT the one. He is admin and site owner. There are MANY sites with admins and without communities. WE ALL actually make it happen day after day.

        [–]magnora7 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

Why don't you stop making accusations when you're in no position to do so?

        [–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

What position is that, or is that not, and when can anyone question or "make accusations"? Power concedes nothing without demands. I'm not even demanding like the MoronLeft - I'm asking.

Why don't you explain things better? Be open. Be transparent. Be the leader we need you to be.

You used to make semi-regular posts to update us on developments. You care so much about appearances, so please, do something and share it. Even if it's not absolutely foolproof or 100% effective or whatever. Let us know you're doing something besides whack-a-troll and at least give the appearance of trying to be a leader. Even if not perfect, we'll all respect you much more.

I'm not asking for miracles here.

        [–][deleted] 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

You always complain, Jason. /u/magnora7 's approaches are - as we've seen - consistent and with an eye to non-interference as much as possible, and thus the community that develops is largely the result of minimal censorship, per the mission of the site. That's the point of the site. Though you have many ideas for changes to the site, the implementation of some of those changes would result in a very different site with a very different mission, as I am sure /u/magnora7 is well aware. I also think about ways in which Saidit could improve, especially if there were a way to deal with the extremists, but approaches to this should take time, if the site is to remain a non-censsorship site. Rather than continually challenge and insult /u/magnora7, I recommend you think of alternative approaches that will engage Saiditors, and thereby direct them to a subsaidit for a discussion of those approaches.

        [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

        You always complain, Jason.

False. I openly criticize, constructively, in search of solutions. He is adamant to find none.

Further, I do much more here than "always complain".

Of all people, you are not going to influence me, nor compel me to shut up and bear it, nor take away my freedom of thought and expression.

consistent and with an eye to non-interference as much as possible

False. I know the rules yet he shits on me here and here for stooping to fight fire with fire on a single day against Airbus Bob3 and Chipit (and then again above) - while doing nothing to those who start shit-disturbing. M7 needs to deal with the drama at the source instead of starting drama with me.

M7's consistency is as reliable as Texan weather.

and thus the community that develops is largely the result of minimal censorship, per the mission of the site. That's the point of the site.

Duh. You think I don't know that? The original point of the site was anti-extremes - to counter tribalist extremes, corruption, propaganda, and authoritarianism.

Yet you want me to shut up and be subservient for tranquility sake, despite there being legitimate problems with the social management of this site. M7 has also repeatedly stated this is not a "free speech" site. It's a balancing act with a lot of grey area. People get banned, and most deserve it. Some may not. Even M7 has wobbled by banning /u/useless_aether, then unbanning him, then banning him again.

Though you have many ideas for changes to the site, the implementation of some of those changes would result in a very different site with a very different mission

Nonsense. Prove it. I dare you. Blow my mind.

as I am sure /u/magnora7 is well aware.

More crap. I'm not calling for any change in the ultimate site ownership or his ultimate power at all. I'm calling for more open transparency, interactive processes, and for him to seek help from folks he trusts (obviously not me) to lighten his load so he can be a moderately good leader as he used to be. This "evolution" in no way changes this site's mission in any way. It merely supplements, broadens, and compliments his oversight powers. NOTHING is taken away, only added.

I also think about ways in which Saidit could improve

Then chime in. (And don't suck up.)

if there were a way to deal with the extremists

If I had more ideas how to better swat them I'd share them.

Actually, here is a fine example of how I'm restrained in order to support the initial mission of SaidIt. I could be calling for people log in with their emails, make donations to participate, or any other such ideas that change the paradigm of SaidIt as is. I don't even need or want to be anonymous but I accept and even respect that some people do.

approaches to this should take time

Bullshit! He's had years and waves of trolls that came and went before. He doesn't need more time. He needs to try stuff out. NOTHING needs to be permanent, including "trusted team members". If it doesn't work it's simple to reverse or cancel it - or refine and/or commit to the ideas that work well.

if the site is to remain a non-censsorship [sic] site.

Strawman. Tell DioJr or the LXXX/MoronLeft this is a non-censorship site. I don't expect nor want M7 to stop banning people who are problematic. I simply want more transparency and a more reliable process. I am NOT the only one.

Rather than continually challenge and insult /u/magnora7

I do not continually challenge M7. I hold my tongue most of time.

I never insult M7. I call it like it is. His behaviour speaks for itself.

I recommend you think of alternative approaches that will engage Saiditors

I've been trying. That should be obvious.

Folks like you seem to think it's "complaining", against the "mission", or "challenging and insulting".

You want me to try more so you can shit on me more, hypocrite.

and thereby direct them to a subsaidit for a discussion of those approaches.

For years I've been trying to contain and centralize the drama in something like a SaidIt town square and/or court room. I could make the sub but what's the point if M7 doesn't participate. Only he can make that happen. I even wrote it up again for the 3rd or 6th time here. Years ago I suggested /s/IdeasForSaidIt, d3rr made it and I co-modded for a while. Recently I started /s/PhoenixForum to discuss dreaming beyond SaidIt where we might have a better chance of having these ideas in 6 fields realized - and much more.

Next time, stick your dick in your own ear and mind your own business, polite shit-disturber and kiss-ass. M7 can speak for himself.

Please don't repeatedly drag discussion quality down the pyramid of debate Jason.

        [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Dude. You fucking fell for the bait YET AGAIN.

Let me be clear. I'm NOT trying to trap or troll you.

However, you're helping me build a solid case - against yourself. Of all the things outlined that you chose to comment on - you focused on that little bit at the end. Did you even read the rest?

YOU are on a witch hunt.

I'm NOT your witch. We all know there are MUCH bigger issues to deal with than me and my little rebellious potty mouth. We all know you're refusing to make any acknowledgements of my claims nor attempted to refute them or even tried to justify your apparent lack of action.

Make me understand and I'll shut the fuck up. I prefer being open, but private message if you like. Feel free to set up your own bait things if you wish. I'm not afraid. If you tell me something in confidence and the LXXX/MoronLeft broadcast it you'll know I'm in league with them. I can guarantee you that won't happen though. Obviously you don't have to explain nor justify anything - and I don't have to stop complaining proposing solutions.

I'm here to help SaidIt. You're determined NOT to help SaidIt in these few instances for unknown reasons. Are you a limited hangout? Is this site a psyop for the establishment to study antiauthoritarians or something? Are you unable technically or mentally or emotionally? I could go on speculating for shits and giggles but none of that matters. We already agree on 97% of everything.

If you don't want to do my idea or something else (preferably better), let others develop it and present it for your approval. You'll still always have the ultimate power.

Please, just talk to us, or just me, about these proposed helpful ideas. Make me understand, earn my 100% respect, and I'll stop bringing it up. I'm already 97% in your corner - just sit me down and explain.

Calm down. You are a guest here, and I'm simply asking you to follow the rules like everyone else.

        Calm down.

If I wasn't calm my thoughts wouldn't be so organized. Being dismissive does not give you the look you want.

You are a guest here, and I'm simply asking you to follow the rules like everyone else.

You know I'm more than just a guest here.

I already know the rules. Look at the length of that comment, easily over 90% of it was constructive. I'll be generous and say the bit of sass at the end was 10%. The comment remains 80% constructive.

You don't ask everyone to follow the rules, for much worse infractions.

You still haven't responded to the real issues here. Avoidance is a technique the asstrolls utilize. You and they are apples and orangutans, without comparison other than your stubbornness and avoidance.

I'd prefer you share your reasons, publicly or privately, to win me over. I really want to be 100% behind you. Until I understand, I'll keep calling out bullshit and hypocrisy as I see it (including yours) and I'll keep proposing ideas and promoting solutions.

Jason - I am not trying to "shit on" anything

I see that you're often concerned (if not complaining) about the state of Saidit and its managememnt, and you've spent countless hours developing sophisticated approaches to website management. My main point here is that - because you continue to be so concerned - you can put all of that to good use in other ways. Don't take it personally. Yes, I've seen /s/IdeasForSaidIt and /s/PhoenixForum . I'm certainly not a 'kiss-ass' - absolutely no one at this website agrees with me about anything, including M7, and I am not trying to change anyhing. I am just here for discussions, as odd as it may seem, and I am not interested in speaking with people who agree me. Not much to learn in that case. I am flattered, BTW that I can potentially put my dick in my ear.

        This, too, shall pass.
