QUOTE: "A bizarre brain training game that can boost mental skills in less than an hour has been discovered by scientists. It relies on an effect called neurofeedback, where brainwaves are monitored and positive reinforcement is given when a desired brain state is reached."
From what I've somewhat garnered, an injured brain acts somewhat like a hard drive that's been dropped, or over heated; the 'layout' of where everythings at, learned in early on, can just be gone. The sensor 'relays' back to the mind will still fire, but the mind doesn't know how to interpret; hence what they're calling a 'game', is really a treatment that acts just as say a metaphorical mirror, or visual cue allowing said injured, or diseased person to what I'd assume 'fake it till you make it'; meaning that as long as for sure you can visually see the correct thing, just keep on doing it until you feel it=physical therapy.
