95% of plastic in the oceans comes from Third World countries

According to all the propaganda I’ve seen, it’s basically 100% the US’s fault that the oceans are polluted with plastic. My state (California) in particular shoves that’s rhetoric down our throats.

So on the contrary to this article, isn't all our trash sent over to Asia? It really doesn't have to be, there are great alternatives like real waste to energy plants, using plasma torches to create syn gas.
