I totally disagree with this ban, or any. A determined psychopath will always find a way to accomplish their end goal; it's seriously as simple as that, then review the other things used recently to fulfill these goals, like trucks.
They already are wanting the knives turned in, and now RFID tagged in the UK; ideocracy has no borders.

I also am curious as to where the voting public is there; all I'm seeing on the news is edicts, and decrees by the politicos; the people are either spellbound, ignorant, or just simply ignored.
