Any opinions on this?

That the real solution is going to be having a third room, or private places to get changed.
Related: restrooms. Which restroom should Buck Angel be using when out in public?
Plus things get super messy when you take Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome into account, people with XY chromosomes but their bodies didn't react to androgens so they developed feminine bodies. That's a male genotype, with a female-like phenotype, and probably a female gender identity (usually they are raised female and only learn something is different when they never get a period). Biology doesn't want to make this easy.
Give people more privacy. Stop forcing them to change in front of other people if they don't want to.

You bring up a good point, some people have different 'things' going on. I'm personally a big believer in personal choice, personal development, and attempting to dig past our chemical, and other influencers to find true self, and what our true self wants.
Now getting to this point is about as difficult as you can get since we use external influences, and even the chemicals ingested are what we use as feedback for decisions; so perhaps meditation would be good for people.
Notice, usually they want folks to go to a counciling; which again is someone else with their influences effecting them, trying to influence you; so yes, more privacy, and self determination.

I've been a fan of the third bathroom option for a while. Since 'LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP' claims to be very big on inclusivity, there should be a third bathroom that covers them.

Or if not third bathrooms, multiples of those "family" bathrooms where one person goes in at a time and can lock the door. That way everyone just uses their own bathroom. Pain for companies and expensive? Yeah sure, but it is an option. Smaller places could get away with this. A local ice cream store has a "family" bathroom and everyone just uses that regardless.
