I don't know man. While I disagree with participation awards and asspats and the general pussification of our youth, these are just humans being humans. He hit the dude in the head with a solid object he threw as hard as he could, he felt bad, he's just a kid. The pros feel bad too, they just aren't allowed to show it.

He knocked the kid's helmet off. The batter was well enough to take the base, obviously. Both coaches should have told them to play ball, and the players should have gone as far as "oh shit bro u good?" / "I'm good" and been done. Not this fuckin feminine hugboxfest.

I hear ya, let me put it this way.

My son is a 4 year letterman on a state champion football team, he plays linebacker, and he rocked a kid so hard it took him out of the game last year. I'd have genuine concern if he didn't feel bad about it. He wasn't tearing himself about it, but at least he showed some concern.

This is coming from one of the least empathetic people on this site, or anywhere for that matter.

With that said, yeah, the whole display was a bit much. I'll give you that.
