It's a paper tiger. If the women would stand up for themselves and their sport everywhere, they would not have to compete against men.

There is an innate sex difference at play here.

Women cooperate better with their blood relatives and men cooperate better with their peers.

I strongly support a male being in that competition. And I strongly support male fans watching the game that can see him, supporting him. Showing their support. All males, show support for a male competing in a womens race. As that woman rides by.
