Jimmy is still thinking 2D, left-right, yet knows it's a class war. At the end when he says they're on the right he really means they're top-down authoritarian/totalitarian, vs the opposite: bottom-up voluntarism/anarchism, and most people are just in the middle, regardless of the little Overton window near the top.
