This will probably end the Minds social network

Luculent JUN 11, 2019, 7:06:12 AM So as you folks may know, I've been seriously coming down relatively hard on Minds for reneging on their pledge to boycott Google, by putting their mobile app for Android back on the playstore.

This is a HUGE deal because it directly corresponds to the NSFW and censorship crud thats been going down the past couple of weeks or so.

The Minds app for Android on the playstore BLOCKS all E-tagged channels and content, and removes the option of each Minds user to choose whether to see said content or otherwise. However, you do have the option to download and install the uncensored app directly from Minds.

I WANT you to read the pledge Minds made, and tell me I'm wrong.

Effectually, Minds has given Google license to censor Minds users. This is NOT what Minds is all about. Minds is about freedom, and freedom comes in this situation with a small price. Minds should remove the app from the playstore, and create an educational video teaching people that need help installing the app outside of the playstore.

Please people, show Minds that you care about this, and that it's important to you; that you're willing to deal with the app on the Minds repo and don't want to support Google and their insidious business tactics per the Minds official statement in their boycott of Google. They think you don't care, and I'm only speaking for myself.
