    The arm rests do that. It's a stupid virtue-signalling bench design. In the park across the street they simply maintain an obvious space beside the bench for wheelchairs. As I've seen in movie theaters.

      If beside the walkway, you have a bench on a rectangle of concrete, and there's an extra wide abundance of concrete beside the bench for no other reason than to not have grass there, or for a picnic cooler, or an invisible lamppost, then it obviously must be for a wheelchair. No sign necessary.

      I was in an architecture comp at our high school. We were tasked with created stations for the light rails that were getting put in. One of the things that was a mandatory objective was to find a way to decrease homelessness vagrancy around the stations.

      Dude... get a life. They dont deserve rape and murder because they want to ensure people who are going to use it are safe and can use it.

      On top of it, there are plenty of shelters and ways to get off the streets. I feel 0 sadness because they choose to ignore that because those options are drug and booze free, so they can't get there fix.

      these "masterpieces" are ugly, unsafe and unusable for anybody, including non-homeless disabled people, elderly, new mothers etc. They don't reduce homelessness and vagrancy, they just move it somewhere else, and in most cases not even that. I'm not homeless and I hate these bullshit creations with a passion, they make cities into unwelcoming corporate hallways, with the message "consume or go home".

      I'm all for shelters and detox, so spend money on those, instead of wasting it on these retarded benches. These factories and schools need to get blown up with the sociopathic subhuman employees inside. Better yet, crash a plane into them.
