Done. Sad to see that sub empty.

I can't remember what it was in one of your reviews that triggered a few movies that bounced around in my head for a day or two. I meant to mention them then but it slipped past in my multitasking.

I hadn't seen the movie you recommended, maybe The Castle, but the impression I got was that it was a nice, well crafted, family friendly, quaint movie. Being nice is nice, but sometimes it can also be great, and makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over without all the sex, violence, deceit, fantasy, authority, agendas, propaganda, etc. - or in the other direction with over saccharine drama engineered to manufacture artificial emotions in you to milk until dry, raw, and sore from abuse.

For your consideration and/or opinions on "nice" quaint films:

I thought of a few more while making this list. Then I had to stop because I'll get carried away and add things that are not all nice. For example, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Piano 1993, would start a whole other list.
