Read the whole trilogy, it's all excellent. I heard rumors of a movie a while back but not sure if that's still happening?

I remember the bit about the Earth-Trisolaris Organization undermining human governments because they believe humanity deserves to be destroyed—or else that the aliens will bring us to utopia... and after this year I think, wow, this guy really understood human nature when he wrote that.

I think a Chinese movie has been released based on the first book but for some reason was withdrawn afterwards.
