Yep, sci-fi has always been woke. Like Doctor Who. People claim that DW turned woke when Jodie Whittaker was cast as the Doctor, even though in Capaldi's last season his companion was a black, lesbian with a boy's name & before then, back in 2013, the Master became Missy, & before then every other character was either gay or lesbian, including main characters & aliens.

As for the original show, it was always painfully left-wing: pro-pacifist, anti-capitalist, multi-culty, environmentalist, with even a couple lines here & there promoting women's lib.

Progressivism is only ever considered offensive during economic down-turns like the one we're experiencing now. Everyone turns into a traditionalist in the wake of an economic crash, for some reason.

Peter Capaldi played transvestite in Prime Suspect so he was ideal for the role, I guess.

Totally. That last starwars was so feminist I could barely sit through it. The male hero-type pilot was treated like a dumb sex object and Luke as a dummy spitting boomer, only rising to the occasion in the end in that pathetic remote-fight where he dies as a consequence. Well good riddens, he was always a lame actor so no loss there. As for the Evil young apprentice, well he was portrayed as a spoilt brat for most of the series. I won't ever watch another, nor download any movie made after 2010 now. Fuck american movies.
