Florida HB1421 would prohibit insurance providers, including private insurers, from covering gender-affirming care, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket.

Thats...not health care, thats an elective cosmetic surgery. Thats not being bigoted, thats treating them the same as everyone else who has to pay out of pocket for elective cosmetic surgery to 'make them look on the outside how they feel on the inside'

Florida previously introduced a bill that will force businesses that pay for gender-affirming care to also pay for detransitions

Detransitioning is literally gender-affirming care too, its still a sex change operation

Thats not 'coming for the trannies', this is literally the definition of equality under the law, you know, the thing they claim to want but clearly dont. Eat shit trannies, mutilating your genitals doesn't make you fucking special, just insane

Look closer. This is a massive statist intervention into private insurance entities, which isn't the conservative way. And note the motives. Those companies are banned from covering things these politicians personally dislike, and are required to cover combatting them. It's clearly a purely anti-trans attack. I was right, they are undoubtedly plotting their own takeover now. With all major players now on the side of absolute tyranny, liberty will soon die with thunderous applause.

Yes, thats probably their motivation, which I don't agree with, however, I do not think elective cosmetic surgeries ought to be covered by insurance. I can't think of any others that are, and everyone else's health insurance costs more when you start adding things like this. I identify as having a big juicy booty, should you have to help pay for my brazilian butt lift so I can look on the outside how I feel on the inside?

That's the insurance company's and its customers' business.

The insurance companies arent covering it because they chose to, they are covering it because other laws on the books require them to. If you really believe in their free market ability to do what they want, they would never cover this

Sure, but that's not what this law is getting at. If it were, it would simply repeal those laws requiring that they cover it. Instead it forbids them to do so. It's part of a larger plot to force everyone to conform to a certain worldview.

Yeah, I agree with you that this is the motivation behind this law (I don't hate the law for unrelated reasons), both parties are trying to win the culture war right now

Yes, I do think the culture war was something that was ordered by the secret ruling elite so they can run roughshod over our rights while we attack each other instead of them
