A warning about the SanctionedSuicide forum

Sanctionedsuicide.net, the forum linked to in the sticky and sidebar, is owned and operated by the incels.is staff, who also own suicide.wiki and other large incel sites including looksmax.org and incels.wiki. This is not obvious from the descriptions given in this space and the admins and mods themselves try hard not to make the connections known without research.

Even if you're willing to tolerate extremist incels to the point you'd consider joining a community ruled by and mostly made up of them, there are still plenty of reasons to avoid the site and look for alternatives. I've messaged the mod here about my concerns, please read the quote below and the links provided therein for more information:

The SS forum at sanctionedsuicide.net and sanctioned-suicide.com, linked to in the sidebar and sticky, and the affiliated wiki suicide.wiki are owned and run by the staff of incels.is and other large incel sites and there have been cases of abuse and scamming by users and staff, as well as poor moderation and security practice. The site is currently being investigated by the police. sanctionedsuicide.com now points to a different, suspicious seeming forum copying the original site, probably owned by a user or lurker on blackhatworld.com

The situation is documented further on reddit at r/exposingss, r/badnet, r/suicideabusewatchdog, r/u_lightuthrowaway, and r/u_uniqueorchid. The aforementioned users are former members of the forum who are still active on reddit. As a former lurker on sanctionedsuicide.net and former and current lurker on reddit via ceddit I can confirm some of their stories.

We try to spread the word about this on reddit whenever the subject comes up, at r/suicidology and other subs, and refer people to alternative communities. Apart from Discord groups, right now I'm aware of this space, t/sanctionedsuicide on Notabug, and f/sanctionedsuicide on Raddle, all of which are currently inactive but may grow in the near future. I will add more to the list if I learn of any. Would you consider either removing the links to the SS forum or adding a note/warning regarding the issues with the site, and adding links to more alternatives? Thanks in advance.

    Orchid and Wee say that they are cooperating with the police in investigating the forum. I seem to recall one of them saying that users are safe, but I can't find that at the moment. All the information is on the linked subreddits, but there is quite a lot of it. I can't confirm their claims with respect to the crimes and investigations, but they seem plausible. IIRC according to Orchid users and lurkers on the forum who haven't given explicit advice on methods or similar, including her, wouldn't be in violation of American law. The same thing probably applies to most other countries.

    Orchid is under police protection in Sarasota, FL and is also cooperating with Selah Freedom (https://www.selahfreedom.com/). There is a particular focus on the case of SiArc, who ctb in a house fire along with her dog, and the involvement moderator iheartrockart had in the failure of her plan.       I'm not sure, I think they may have dropped that line of inquiry. She knew about her plans beforehand, they discussed it together and she didn't warn SiArc that her plan wouldn't work. Apparently people have more incriminating information about her. If you want more information look for it yourself.

      Also, maybe don't request a ban. They can't/won't remove users information, mods also have access to it and contacting staff gives them an indication that you may be on to them.
