    We thought about doing this, but the date is already listed on the canary posts themselves, where it says something like "Posted 26 days ago", and only admin usernames can create the canary. So it'd be almost impossible for someone to fake it on saidit, unlike the pure text file you've linked to which does have a good reason to have those. That's just my 2 cents on it, but I do appreciate the suggestion

      I see, but doesn't the fact it says "Posted 3 hours ago" when I post it convey the same information?

      And wouldn't it also be possible to automatically post a canary that automatically pulls the top headlines from some news site?

      I'm still thinking about it, but I just don't see it adding that much security, tbh.
