I think there's a new preferred steemit site, after a forking, hive or something, I kinda lost track of what was going on.

They finally dealt with the steem creators unethically premining like half of the steem currency. Steem got sold and the new owner tried to cash it in or power play it or something.

Just noticed this. I haven't been there a while, I know they've been having problems with shills because of how the site rewards money for the top posts, but apparently korean language-speakers have taken over the website as that makes up the overwhelming majority of the posts on the site now.

I didn't see that one coming!
