Random conversations. Less formal, not needing citations etc.

Maybe a place where folks can check in and say, "I've been busy today or this week - what have I missed?"

A central hangout. Like chat but not lost in time. I feel like SaidIt/Reddit is too spread out. You have to be subscribed to this or that, and then there's a whole tsunami of articles - sometimes I feel overwhelmed trying to catch up, sometimes I get bummed out I'm missing stuff, sometimes I just want to forget all that crap and trying to chase it all.

Maybe, in this example I might not mind the pooling of chaos. Or maybe it'd just be more of the same.
