Now you too can easily run your own copy of this fine Spez and Swartz collaboration. Docker lets you host this site on many different operating systems, like Ubuntu 20 LTS or Windows. For years we've struggled with Python and Ubuntu 14 deprecation issues, but now that we're nestled in the arms of Docker, we can run indefinitely.
This isn't the newest or flashiest open source reddit clone out there today, but it's likely the cheapest to operate and the most scalable and the most feature complete. Being actual old reddit itself and not a clone, this codebase remains compatible with the larger reddit ecosystem, including phone apps, alternate front ends, and other API interactions.
If you are tired of coding nonsense, come code for saidit! saidit and friends and projects related to this codebase like RES and RedReader need all sorts of help.
