Isn't Saidit hosted on a central server(s)? I don't recall anything about it even aiming to break off this model, although I don't follow Saidit's development. Something that is planning to be fully decentralised is Notabug, where people can make their own peers. Also, Nab is the uncensored version of Notabug.

Nab is awesome, but I don't know when if ever it will be production ready. I'm watching a couple of other projects as well. SaidIt will jump ship to the right platform if the right platform exists.
