Ok first, huge thanks for the support I've received here, esp from u/d3rr and u/magnora7. Really feel supported and encouraged, especially as I'm effectively learning the basics of coding as I do this.
Here is what I'm encountering today:
1. After d3rr patiently helped me fixed my SSL yesterday, I promptly broke it again after I installed the optional features (Solr, IRC, etc). In the browser, it warns me that this site is trying to load unsafe scripts and i have to allow it to load the "unsafe scripts."
There is a box on my right sidebar (which may be my IRC client, but may not be since I'm not even finished installing it?) that won't load. It says "reddit.local’s server IP address could not be found."
I just got done installing Anope (as per instructions here: https://github.com/libertysoft3/saidit#saidit-admin-guide )
And I reached these commands:
$ cd ~/services/bin
And this is the error I keep getting:
Anope 2.0.6, build #2, compiled 22:46:20 Jul 20 2019
Using configuration file conf/services.conf
File conf/services.conf could not be opened.
- While configuring anope, I didn't know how to do the following line so I just skipped it:
# NOTE: insecure if you allow outside access to IRC/6667, instead just change maxsessionlimit only and later run:
# /msg OperServ exception add +0 127.0.0.1 50000 Allow many localhost TheLounge clients
Ok, that's today's problems lmao. Thank you so much again for all the help and patience. I am loving this platform. xoxo
