We had a DDOS attack that overloaded the server. We now have everything set up properly so that it can no longer take down the server. That's basically what happened.

We had our DDOS protection mostly set up, but didn't know how to use it exactly because we had never suffered a DDOS attack before. Now we know how to use it.

Yes it seems based on some loose evidence I've gathered that a group didn't like the new OnA group that came to saidit, and DDOS'd saidit in an attempt to silence them.

Yeah, in hindsight it seems saidit is still having these kinda of problems unfortunately.
