Yes it seems based on some loose evidence I've gathered that a group didn't like the new OnA group that came to saidit, and DDOS'd saidit in an attempt to silence them.

could it just be that the newcomers overloaded the servers and the ddos was unintentional? i can't imagine OnA having that many enemies

No it's definitely intentional, the IP addresses that had 20+ connections (instead of the usual 1 or 2) all have the same first 6 numbers.

I guess they do have enemies like that. I think that's why they got banned from reddit. They got targeted. Then to "further the ban" they DDOS'd saidit. That's what seems to have happened.

      I mean,if they make it looks like "too many OA sub users lead to the site down",it maybe more successful for their purpose.
