I agree that their presence is troubling to those of us who have been here for a while. I can get past most of the crude posting, but when their users immediately suggest they use this site as a staging area for brigades

I believe in the long run these folks would be better off taking the same open-source software that was used to create Said.it and use it make their own site.

a lot of us keep saying "someone should do" exactly that, but none of us seem to be motivated to do it. best we got is a shitty legacy 2004-esque forum
