It will happen with any site that becomes large enough to where its owners could live off the ad revenue.

It's not about censorship, it's about a website's owners not wanting to materially support bad people.

I'm not going to argue with that. I was just expressing my view on where I draw the line. It's obviously very different for everybody. I think you, me, and the owners would all draw the line at different places.

We know how this plays out, comments like "I'd hit that", "nice tits on this one", I guess the problem is not enough disagreement would be had.

Hehe. Nothing wrong with everyone being in agreement for a change.

Ultimately it bends to Western values. WPD was only banned because a mainstream paper put it under the spotlight. Sometime WPD 2.0 might be under a similar spot light, and the owners of this site will suddenly find Jesus.

I think an unspoken goal of sites like this is that there are problems and we want to fix them, and to say we want to debate is to really say we want to hammer out issues, and at the end of the day, the acquisition of porn is not a problem that needs fixing.

It gets slightly more confusing once you consider that Braincels & The Donald are still around. I don't believe for a second that those haven't received some attention from the media.

I think an unspoken goal of sites like this is that there are problems and we want to fix them, and that's where the debate comes from, and at the end of the day, the acquisition of porn is not a problem that needs fixing.

Might become a problem in the future. Countries all seem to want a slice of the pie.

As a participant in WPD, I understand that people think it's tasteless, and while I think I can make the case that it is not, nobody is going to listen to it, so we're at an impasse, and on living on saidit.

Controversy has happened a few times in the media, due to how some supporters act on The Donald. Reddit weirdly doesn't seem to care, instead they look for other subs to ban.

Yup, it's human nature. When somebody has strong beliefs on something, it can be difficult if not impossible to change their view on the subject matter.

It still absolutely no surprised to me why WPD was killed off before T_D.

Yup, it's human nature. When somebody has strong beliefs on something, it can be difficult if not impossible to change their view on the subject matter.

It's interesting if you think about the consequence of that fact, it means that people dont have freedom of thought, they give up that freedom in order to "fit in" and "to be a true _____" . There was a Joe Rogan w/ Adam Conover (Adam Ruins Everything) podcast the other day where you could see this in full effect, and it was very sad. It was obvious his reasoning was purely in the service of SJW prerogatives, and not intelectual honesty, or even common sense for that matter, and yet this guy hosts a show predicated on facts and truth. Quite incredible.

I guess it couldn't really be surprising since they banned pro choice subs and a random eating disorder sub long before they banned WPD. I remember somebody actually posted a massive list of all the subs they had banned within the time frame of a few months.

It's interesting if you think about the consequence of that fact, it means that people dont have freedom of thought, they give up that freedom in order to "fit in" and "to be a true _____" . The internet used to be the best place for freedom of speech before smartphones & social media popularized it to the general public. Nowadays it sadly is a shell of its former self. It's no surprise he would try cater to the SJW crowd. If he didn't, he would likely no longer have a career anymore. Control is slowly slipping away from everyone. We've got the treasure the remains while it lasts.
