They can already see those things if you post on any forum on the internet my friend. Unless you're using a VPN (even then VPN's will and have sold data) you're SOL in terms of privacy. Which if you were using a VPN, then the chatbox wouldn't be an issue. At the end of the day TOR is the only thing that gives a semblance of privacy and even that can be compromised.

My friend, you have clearly mixed up server logs and publicly available info. When I turn off the chat, you can't see what subs I've browsed this session even though the admins can.

Unless you're using a VPN you're SOL in terms of privacy.

I always use VPN on all my devices, even the IOT shit that doesn't support it. TOR and I2p over VPN is sometimes another layer I apply.

(even then VPN's will and have sold data)

Try using a logless VPN provider with no history of sharing user data.

Which if you were using a VPN, then the chatbox wouldn't be an issue.

You have clearly misunderstood the technical aspect I'm worried about.

At the end of the day TOR is the only thing that gives a semblance of privacy and even that can be compromised.

If you think TOR gives ANY form of PRIVACY you're dangerously misinformed. TOR provides ANONYMITY, the transport encryption provides the privacy.

I can already see the subs you've browsed through your post history? I'm still not seeing how you think the internet is private at all, no matter what you do someone is going to see your footprints.

If you think you're seeing my browsing history when you look at my posting history then you don't understand that different words means different things. Posting history is not browsing history.

I'm still not seeing how you think the internet is private at all,

There are degrees of privacy and anonymity (which are two different things by the way). Perhaps you don't see any issues with browsing on your clearnet connection while logged in with your personal account in Google Chrome, but I do.

no matter what you do someone is going to see your footprints.

Sure, but as long as the footprints doesn't lead straight to my front door I'm ok. And I'm ok.

Reply if you want the last word, I don't care about the way you try to make up for your lack of technical understanding with a defeatist superstition. I'm out.

Well I'm sorry I've had such a massive misunderstanding then lol.

How exactly does the chat allow others to see my personal browsing history? I thought you meant your sub history, not your actual browsing history?? I never knew any of this and it feels like that should be something more widely known....

If I'm misunderstanding, please explain more clearly. I THOUGHT I understood, but clearly I'm missing something and I would really like more information.

Like, how can someone see your internet browsing history because chat is enabled? Or is that only for the admins eyes?
