Would this community here be accepting of weebs from Reddit?

As you may know Reddit has been cracking down on weebs and the only reason from what we can tell is from that 150mil China investment. Well either way Reddit clearly doesn't want us around anymore.

While weebs in general are far from toxic and that is why we don't want to go to voat I want to make sure that we would accepted here. Yes I'm aware that porn is against the policy here but people have been getting banned for stuff that isn't porn. Perhaps it is slightly lewd but it is not porn.

If this place is a good home for weebs it will be a win win anyways as that would be a much needed population boost here even if only a small fraction move over.

I just wanted to check here to make sure that we would be accepted before I bothered with waving flags and doing serious pushes to get people here.

Oh and I feel that it is important for me to mention that I am not am moderator anything like that but just someone that cares about his community.

It is more a question of your rule #2 and if the site or I guess you as the admin would consider a lot of what weebs joke about as 'porn'.

Perhaps I'm being too careful about this after being witch hunter by reddit for so long...

While a /r/anime or /r/manga over here would undoubtedly have lots of discussions the meme subs might be more at risk. While we do have discussions in the memes it isn't as much.

Well I'll let the people know over at the discord know that you at least don't straight up hate weebs lmao.

If you want to post and share NSFW / not-for-Saidit content and don't mind setting up a server, you can spin up a Mastodon instance for that. I can't find the config option to stop it spilling out unlabelled, though; please enable the "mark outgoing toots as NSFW" / "mark outgoing toots as sensitive" / "mark outgoing toots with a content warning" / similar options on your instance if you plan to do this.

Sorry but Mastodon is not even remotely a replacement for reddit. It is a lot closer to twitter ect.

is the sub on reddit invitation only? why is that and how can we tell if they will fit or not when we cant have a look? i am just a bit concerned, b/c it looks like weebs is another word for anime/loli style pedofilia cartoons. but correct me if i am wrong about any of this, in which case welcome to saidit1
