The concept of a "powermod" is a fiction.
We all know they could stop the culture wars problems on Reddit if they wanted to. The problem is not the number of subs, the problem is who governs them and how.
Like on Reddit powermods on SaidIt are not a threat to anyone - unless the owners/admins allow problems to persist, ignorantly or intentionally. It's clear that corporate Reddit owners and management are corruptly supporting the ESG (environment social governance) culture wars agenda to mainstream the social credit cult.
The owners/admins of all sites will always have ultimate power and always will. Saying otherwise is simply fake news.
magnora7 has been promoting an illusory paranoid fiction, and if anyone falls for it he inflates their delusions. If anyone actually abuses their modicum of "power" over a sub the individuals or the community would alert him to easily squash it. It's long overdue that he stop lying to folks instead of perpetuating this bullshittery and the arbitrary 40 subs max rule.
SaidIt needs all the help it can get moderating this place - especially if/when it ever grows and when the shills, trolls, bots, along with AI overrun everything online. I report stuff all the time, regardless what sub I'm in - but I don't moderate. Maybe one day I might. Or hopefully I can move on to a better self-regulating site where everyone is invested in its development, has a say how things are run, can build the future they want, and takes responsibility for their own communities.
Saidit is NOT Reddit.
