Cardio initially to get the weight off and then weightlifting to help maintain a lean physique. Obviously you should keep doing some cardio after the weight is off but the weightlifting will help with muscle tissue development and if what I remember reading years ago is true then muscle tissue will passively burn more calories then fat tissue.

Done right, weight training is better.

Since you're a lazy fat fuck, cardio will be easier to start ;)
