I like it. The logo goes with the meaning of the site name so that's pretty cool. Not sure if it will detract from the vaporwave thing we have going on, but maybe that's more about the colors.

And as a minor point I like getting away from the pyramid A since multiple people have told me it looks occultist or illuminati like :)

What is vaporwave? I can design you something custom if you like.

The thing about the current "A" is that it's wider than all other letters by a significant margin making it much more noticeable. I don't have the font, nor know why they did this. Perhaps they match the golden proportions of the actual pyramids in Egypt.

Without any complications you'll have a couple vector versions by morning.

I have no idea what vaporwave is. Not sure if it's music or an art style or both but I guess that's the style we were after. Some kind of tron and cyberpunk and 80s mashup.

Oh this guy is gonna splain it to us: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdpP0mXOlWM

Well thank you for all of your help around here.

I was a huge fan of the New Wave as a teen in the 80s. Max Headroom was my favourite. Check it out. It's SOOOO underrated and ahead of its time.

Like a portmanteau of vaporware and new wave.

We used to play Cyberpunk in college, like Dungeons & Dragons oldskool role playing games.

Reminds me of /s/Movies/comments/afk/kung_fury_official_movie/

Also, I just posted a bunch of music here that vaporheads might like. /s/music/comments/ans/morgan_willis_the_grid_of_death_some_breathy/

Are you fucking kidding me? I think I worked on that shampoo spot. Or one so close my memory fails me. Too many to count or remember circa 96-98. YouTube took down several of my ancient videos, but there are still a few left. My old embarrassing Wicked Sunshine Montage 2002 has a Loreal hair demo in it. https://www.youtube.com/user/JasonCarswell/videos

I love/d My Bloody Valentine https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=My+Bloody+Valentine

Magnora7 said he didn't like my pixel version (I don't blame him but think it'd be fun to do dorky gif animations with) and didn't want to go back so much as forwards (my words).

I had three designs pretty much finished, and was tweaking the last one when Illustrator crashed. :( I'm doing 4 more now, but taking a break.

Beyond that I don't know about help. Just trying to contribute.

Oh that's cool that you played Cyberpunk. I know you don't video game, but a well respected company is using that game as inspiration and a foundation for a new video game Cyberpunk 2077. Maybe you'd enjoy the trailer and seeing it brought to life.

You contribute great just by being here and sharing all of your links.

I didn't play much Cyberpunk. I was growing out of it. I did play D&D much more over more year but really I was just into studying it and all its potential. Part of the disappointing part of it was playing with unimaginative friends.

Hot. A+ Her clothes would have been ripped by the bullet. Also, even bullet proof materials get marked. No narrative. So, meh, not A+++

Looks good.

Violent. TLDR.

If you like that stuff, Blade Runner, 2001, A.I., etc and truther geopolitics, you'll love my "main" project that I've been working on, off and on, since 2001 (initially had absolutely no connections to 9/11 or geopolitics). What's different, and in part what's taken so long, is that I'm insisting on keeping it grounded in HARD-science for my hard-science-fiction. Also, over its development I had a lot of trouble trying to pin down the timeline because a lot of new things come out that I'd just imagined, which meant I wasn't imaginative enough to guess what could be too far forward. All that's worked out so it's set around 2045 to 2050 and I keep wasting time so it's creeping up fast. I need help distilling it all down into a palatable form. I will illustrate it like a movie storyboard crossed with a graphic novel, once I get that palatable story form. I may release it chapter by chapter or all at once. I intend to open source it with some restrictions in hopes to open develop it without neutering it.

Well you sir have a lot of irons in the fire. I look forward to reading it someday. My favorite sci-fi book is Snow Crash but I like the William Gibson stuff too. And Dune! Man reading was cool I should try it again.

It's all about that main story and trying to "save the world" (or at least address the issues and raise questions and awareness). I don't feel I tell it until it has context - forcing me to create the mocumentary series as back up - which needs simplified back up with the TT20 and Truther Newbie Crash Course. All else is superfluous distractions. My laser-like focus off a disco ball.

Eventually, soon, I hope to step back from all social media to focus on my projects and stop talking about them.

If you like Snow Crash you'll likely like The Diamond Age my fave by him. That one and Cryptonomicon are stuck in my head and often visit my thoughts.

I read the Tolkein and Dune series when I was too young, maybe. I remember a lot of it too, but wonder if I would have gotten more out of it if I were older. Then again, I got woke in stages and I was already 30 when 9/11 happened, so I don't know how much better it could have been. A year or two ago I watched the TV series and a lot of it came back to me and I was very impressed at the clever ideas, nuance, and politics of it all. In a way, I guess I was impressed that I remembered that stuff I read when I was a tween or younger. Same goes for Ian Flemming. In Grade 9 I got a second period lunch with no one to socialize with so all I did was read all year. Not that I stopped reading, and I'd already read all of Tolkein, but that was where I "discovered" Herbert and Flemming and Douglas Adams, among others.

In Aug/Sept I bought 2 Douglas Valentine, 4 David McGowan, 1 Jay Dyer, and the Tom Secker & Matt Alford book. I read the first chapters of most but I'm still not finished the one I chose to finish first "CIA As Organized Crime". I prefer interactivity or being active while listening to input.

Before Xmas I got the 3 David Dees books for my folks. I didn't expect it to arrive before Xmas but it did, though I didn't pick it up til after and I haven't seen them since - so it's just sitting there waiting to be opened.

All of this book buying has dramatically cramped my style as I'm already scraping bottom. Better this than not though.
