We literally copied reddit's 2015 code so we have all of it. So not a rebuild and no the code base has not been audited completely by myself or magnora7 but we surely encourage that. Lots of their code was not open sourced so for example we got none of their admin tools or things like shadowbans.

Thank you for reporting the search bug, we appreciate it and it's not a burden. Search here is an open source contribution and was never widely used... Reddit is tied to Amazon, our local Solr is not as robust or well tested.

I'll respond to features discovered later. Tons of discoveries for me, being only a 3 or 4 year Reddit user and not really being a mod.

So I've read about 80% of the code maybe and there are for sure weird things in there I don't understand yet that may be malicious, but along the lines of manipulating the front page and trending posts, nothing about user's personal data or outside interactions.
