Saidit.net Announcements — December 12, 2018 — Brand New Mobile-friendly Browser Interface at m.saidit.net

Now if you're on your phone, you can open your browser to m.saidit.net

After months of hard work from myself and d3rr, we're happy to announce that our mobile site has been completed and is ready to be released today. The whole saidit website has been redesigned to fit on any phone or small-screen device with this new mobile interface. It's been redesigned to make everything easily navigable and easy-to-read on small and narrow screens. It works best on your phone in portrait mode. Try it out!

Any URL on saidit can be changed to its equivalent mobile URL by adding the "m." in front of saidit.net. This has undoubtedly been the most-requested feature, and we're happy to finally be able to give people a good way to browse saidit easily from their phones.

In addition to this mobile site we're releasing today, we are developing a couple mobile apps to be released in the future as well. We are simultaneously working on a simple wrapper app for m.saidit.net to be an app, as well as exploring porting existing already-developed reddit apps to saidit, which have their own styling and layout. So in addition to the new mobile site available today, we hope to have new apps as well, both for iOS and Android (although Android will probably be first).

I really like the font(size)! Top-menu ect. looks good and easily touchable.

For the moderator tools it's okay, maybe a little larger fontsize? (or more space between them)

The vote Icons and thumbnails might be (from my test source {Galaxy S5, F.F.-Focus}) be doubled in resolution (I mean the source images, because they look ehmm strung out, or zoomed in too much, pixelated).

For the rest it's nice reading/using on a mobile device, made m.saidit.net probably the site to check out when I'm bored outside.

P.S. Oh I I'll need to redo something with the /s/Internet CSS because the banner is sort of doubled :p

Non-mobile saidit looks "mobile" in bromite/chrome/built-in web browser, btw.

That depends on how many pixels wide the browser is. If it's too narrow, like on most phones, things overlap and you can't click them
