And now you've followed the 8 hatred posts from the Chomsky alt account with 4 similar posts of your own, dragging down the discussion with the usual hatred for me and your obsession with what I write. Fuck off.

I forgot to mention that you're a hypocrite crying about people are dragging down discussion. The best way for you to avoid your shit being called out is for you to not say stupid things or to shut up.

If you have preferable alternative short words to indicate 1) "liar" as one who lies or deceives, and 2) "shill" as one who promotes an agenda or product, then tell me what you'd prefer to be called.

I do not use these as name-calling words. I used them to describe you as you are. They are short and precise. I can do it with other words in creative ways to the same effect. You can't censor all the words.

I appreciate your concern.

One of these days I need to finish and share my "Shills, Semantics, and Ethics" post. It's an important discussion for SaidIt, Cassy, and forums in general. How can we clearly use precise categorizing words that aren't considered name-calling while avoiding self-censorship?

If you can recommend alternative synonymous words for "shill" and "liar" that are not censurable or ban-worthy, I'm all ears.

That's pretty much all I've got that's well-behaved. I will say that I don't know where socks stands, ultimately. Sometimes the posts waft of shill, but sometimes less so. Occasionally there's an appreciated zinger in there.

The zingers and rational stuff is fine, and I wish there was more of it - but I'll always call out the shit when I see it, using short precise words, or, if necessary, longer phrases to convey the same thing.

It's a shame that common parlance of "liar" and "shill" must be censored for the sake of the liars and shills feelz.

I don't agree with a lot of socks' methods and dismissive attitude towards articles and sources that don't meet whatever personal moral high ground is there. I think it's probably better to look through a source completely to see if it links to an official study or shows data that I'm trying to find, no matter where it's from. I've been a little shit sometimes about that too though, so I can't throw too many rocks. Socks has been kind to me, and even apologized iirc, when I gave a source with sound information that he shat on. He was also went out of his/her way to make a thread requesting a NSFW label for specific posts (we have it for threads already) after I got onto him about posting a lewd Trump meme. That was deeply appreciated. Socks has also been a douche sometimes in replies. I'm pretty sure we all have. Anyhow, we don't all think in the same ways or draw the same conclusions. Something that seems like a shill to you may sound like gospel to him, vice versa. There are definitely shills here, some glowies too, but also just stubbornly differing opinions.

I think that's more because it just turns into a pissing contest a little too quickly and then the whole thread goes to hell in a hand basket. We're all guilty of that for the most part too, but it's just something we have to make sure to keep in check and don't do too often.

Many people here are well behaved, and they have earned my respect for their contributions, but it's hardly rare and limited good behaviour does not nullify the damage done by their bullshit. Whether paid or not, ignorant or not, brain damaged or not, socks is an intentionally disruptive misinfo force of harm in this community. If she quits with the bullshit then we won't have to call her out on it.

I don't know how old Chipit is, but I'm guessing he is either young and learned some stuff or hadn't been politically aware before arriving on SaidIt. I used to call out his shit when I saw it, but now I don't need to as he seems to have stopped spreading bullshit, so far as I've seen. I can only hope that socks grows wise too, if she's even able.

It's not the pissing contest that is the problem. It's the SJW bullshit spin that turns useful definitions into name-calling because they no likey. I don't need to stoop to name-calling as socks does because I can prove that socks is lying and shilling with my grown up words.
