I appreciate your points, and why you would think this, though would argue that Saidit has lost users because there hasn't been much moderation, and that the site has been overrun with trolls, shills, spammers, hatred, and lunatics with extremist agendas.

The iron left, annoying assholes they were, were surprisingly good for numbers, even their vote manipulation benefitted the site, making it appear more populated. Lots of user engagement. I'm not a wrestling fan but I believe that's known as a "heel."

I'd agree spam is a problem. I think that's related to all the empty subs, nobody is there to moderate most of them so admins are the only ones who can remove spam.

I hadn't been on in a couple weeks, stuff came up. Looks like I picked a good day though, this is kinda interesting.

I didn't catch the fight but I don't know why you and Jason don't just block each other. There's no reason to lose more people even as the site's future is questionable. Nobody has still heard from M7, next server bill is probably coming up soon. Not sure the lights are going to be on.

I think we should all be focused on a contingency at this point. You edited it but you said Saidit isn't the only option. Or maybe I misread. The alternatives aren't great, alt right sites basically. A number of Saiditors are centrists, we don't really fit in there.

    Blocking doesn't work for those of us who want to read all of the posts, even from people we disagree with, and especially if from peopel we disagree with. For me, that's the reason to visit Saidit, so read alternative points of view.

    I know this was pointed out previously but doesn't that idea run counter to banning people?

    I know. I don't like it. I don't think he can help it, you also don't have to participate. You guys are like siblings who don't get along. I don't want to see people permabanned over it for the same reason you don't want to block people.

    I think Saidit will develop, as it has done, when the posts and discussions are more interesting. Some of the users here have short memories, and may think that Amelia's work is somehow different from M7's.

    M7 banned a lot of people too (cough, cough, cough, cough). That's why people are complaining they're like Reddit mods. People came here to get away from that.

      Maybe if Tam unbans him, but his plan now is his own Socks free forum.

      I don't see how any of the things we want are being served currently. Except the drama does bring in numbers. Finally something to talk about.
