Presently, the top 10 posts on the front page are populated by spam posts by a bot, having an equal number of votes on all of them. There has to be a solution to this annoying problem.

Same here. It's going be a problem as long as it only takes a few seconds to make an account. That isn't changing afaik so there's no point in worrying about it.
