So happy to see this! What was Loki's motivation to take the site down?

      Exactly.

I don't think so. He and many others are paid social media influencers. It's their job to disrupt and demoralize site users, and try to get the site taken offline. They never take a break and use advanced techniques I've only ever heard used on jihadi groups. It's not a one man crusade, it's an organization with funding.

      [–]NeedMoreCoffee 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

      But why?

      [–]Chipit 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Destroy sites like this while they're small. Don't let the enemy gather strength. That was the lesson of 2016 when social media blindsided our elites. Never again must we be allowed to organize like that again.

      Funding coming right from Beijing.

      [–]Chipit 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (18 children)

Beijing? Why Beijing? They don't give a crap about SJW ideology. They just want a positive image for China. The influencers are US left, Soros money is up the chain somewhere.

Oh, I don't know if I agree with that. Beijing only started this stuff about a decade ago, while the US left has hated America pretty much since there's ever been a US left.

Besides, Beijing isn't trying to destroy America. That's not how they operate. They want to co-opt our elites to serve them instead of the American people. If they destroy us, who's going to buy their junk? The US is the largest consumer market in the world.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

Beijing only started this stuff about a decade ago, while the US left has hated America pretty much since there's ever been a US left.

The left allied themselves with the PRC during the Vietnam war, and slowly lost autonomy as the Chinese Communists figured out they could easily manipulate American leftists. There's a portion of the left that was never subjugated by the CCP, but most of them are mere puppets at this point.

I disagree that the left has always hated America, since Theodore Roosevelt (considered far-right today) was a left-wing Nationalist who did wonders for America and the Working-class. There's also Huey Long, another left-wing Nationalist — although the contemporary left likes to pretend he was a Fascist. Other than those two, I can't think of anyone else on the left who loved America.

Besides, Beijing isn't trying to destroy America. That's not how they operate. They want to co-opt our elites to serve them instead of the American people.

Subjugation is destruction! America will wither and die, if we don't seize her back from the reigns of the enemy! Nationalism or death! Victory or defeat! There is no other option!

        [–]Chipit 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

The left allied themselves with the PRC during the Vietnam war, and slowly lost autonomy as the Chinese Communists figured out they could easily manipulate American leftists.

OK the Chinese were going through the Cultural Revolution at the time and had little inclination for foreign adventures. The US left at the time was Soviet, only a few were Maoist. Frankly, China was poor as fuck and had not the money to fund leftists in foreign countries like the Soviets did.

The CPC was never a factor in US politics until Bill Clinton's campaign in 1996 illegally accepted campaign donations, and won because of it. He had to pay them back, so took the lead in putting them into the WTO. That's when this nightmare started. They should never have been allowed in before democratizing. But, Blowjob Bill had a debt to pay and the corporate Democrats stood to make a mint.

        I dont agree.

The people in power here— let’s call them Yankees because that’s sort of what they are, NY progressives— they control wall street and therefore they control our corrupt government. They control alot of financial markets in europe too. They control the price of money, wrap your head around that. They have formed an alliance with China/CCP. They took all our 401ks and pension funds and invested them overseas in Chinese factories, thus fundin our nations economic demise.

The chinese are deep in bed with these progressive globalists and so they scratch each others back for now. China thinks it has the winning hand in this game and they can write their own ticket. They don’t care how these globalists are destroying the west. They will get burned eventually for getting in bed with these globalists. I dont see China as being the number one threat, although they are currently aligned with the tyrannical globalists that are running the shitshow.

Is that a random name, or is there some great waffle gaffe story? Or a waffle gaff like a waffle on a pole?

Expediently random, was not feeling creative about usernames that day. But, you know, a waffle gaff sounds like a great idea. So does a waffle gaffe, for that matter.

Victory! However, this site should consider using servers outside of western countries, where Silicon Valley does not have as much of a stranglehold.

          [–][deleted] 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (4 children)

I think Magnora said so'm about moving the servers to Switzerland... but we're still subject to an SJW hosting company.

                Self-incrimination is hilarious.

I did talked to him like 3 weeks ago asking him how he was doing and he seemed fine and all, which is why I find his disappearance all the more strange...

                [–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, he told me he was having a good day the last time we talked. That being said, people don't always tell the truth if you ask them how they're doing... but I don't think he jumped ship. Last time it was a storm that took him out for a few days.

                Hooray, thanks folks!

I retract what I previously said about allowing the iron right guy to remain because it's better to allow his bullshit to stand and denigrate him for it. He's shown he's just another moron who wants to ban those with whom he disagrees, so in this narrow case we need to strike against him with the ban hammer first and often.

                [–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Yes, advocating violence is against SaidIt's rules, even though certain people think it should be allowed.

                [–]Chipit 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You can't grant freedom of speech to those who want to eliminate freedom of speech. I said ban them a long time ago, and then keep banning their alts when they pop back up. It's the only way.

                [–]RightousBob 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Welcome back, and thanks to all the members who work so hard to keep this place running! Fuck the shills, trolls, agitators and bad actors that are trying to destroy this space! Their efforts just prove that Saidit and the freedom that it fosters are a threat to the status quo and the bullshit extremist state and el-lite backed narrative. Keep up the good work of supporting freedom! Tyranny will be crushed and liberty shall prevail!

                [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

                Where are the comments?

                Also teasing LXXX is stupid.

                [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

The comments seem to be broken. I'm not sure if this is related to the DNS issue, or if it's a seperate problem.

I'm not teasing no one, Jason... It's obvious he's going to do it again. This is the second time he's reported SaidIt to the hosting company. u/magnora7 and u/d3rr need to find another host.

                [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

You are teasing Loki with your lizard image. Your youth and being tone deaf and blind to it is a serious problem for SaidIt. (It's also a problem that some perceive your admin status as holding some kind of authoritative or representative power of SaidIt, legit and earned or not, and obviously some folks have problems with your personal life.) As a vector of all these things you need to take care in all things and/or make a separate alias.

I may be wrong, but it's not up to D3 nor his responsibility.

                [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The fucking lizard image, Jason!? I'm going to take Magnora's advice and just ignore you.

                [–]JasonCarswell 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The truth may be painful but it's not wise to ignore it. Be a bitch if you want to and just deny reality further. Makes no difference to me. Siding with M7, an immature proven slanderer, is not in your best interest - especially when there are many others here who would be better friends and mentors for you. You have potential, grow up and seize it.

                [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Undo the Reddit redirect or ask /u/d3rr to.

I doubt this will be the last time they'll try to do this.

Also, stay clear of LEOs. They are nothing but trouble on trouble.

                [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

u/d3rr said it was with the DNS company, so I don't think I can fix it myself.

                Also, what are LEOs?

                [–]JasonCarswell 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Law Enforcement Officers. A common short term.

The problem seems to be that www. is always needed.

Comments don't appear. But I can see messages (with www.)

                [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

www. is SaidIt's main subdomain, so any URL to SaidIt technically requires it, but the DNS lookup usually adds that on — but since u/d3rr has made it redirect to Reddit: you have to type it in yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if Loki called the cops on us, but I don't think they're involved. I'm pretty sure all he did was complain to the server hosting company over and over, like he did with IP2.
