What the fuck is up with the spam on this site?

put a posting delay and a limit that quickly expires??? speaking of wtf do i have a limit from only one bloody post? this is why i got away from reddit only to find the same thing here when my account is not new??? wtf i have to leave here now to...???

One way to make it more expensive for trolls and spammers is to make new accounts have to earn posting, voting, and commenting privileges, by earning credits/upvotes from the existing user base. Sometimes there's a time element in there too.

If your policies are too lax, then the trolls and spammers can make all the accounts they want with little effort. If your policies are too restrictive, then you start bouncing too many legitimate new users.

What kind of limit are you having?

posting time limits...make one post and now i have to wait a few minutes after one lousy post

Old voat had that, and it only took a week or two of commenting before you passed all reasonable limits. It's a lot slower here, so it might take a little longer.
