How do I make theme-specific CSS?

If I want the text to be black in light mode: how do I do that, but only for specific stuff, like comments and posts?

I tried to do:
.theme-daymode.md { color: black; }
but it didn't work. It doesn't work if I switch it around or add a space either.

this is too confusing to me so I just deleted all my css and copied another sub's css

s/ThirdParty. I wrote that CSS too, it just works for both themes.
