There's a difference between knowing that an young woman / girl is attractive and putting her up on a pedastle to be leered and commented at - especially knowing that indecent trolls exist who will say anything from unkind stuff to sexual stuff to obscene stuff to downright nasty stuff.

So what? They say the same things about 18 year-olds as well. Girls who are teen and pubescent are sexual creatures who masturbate and have sex. Pretending it isn't so is ridiculous.

It's simply an invitation to drag the conversation downward.

It depends on the moderation rules for what kind of speech is but such threads usually do just express admiration in their comments. They're not for some deep discussions lol.

No one is saying teens aren't doing that.

Our culture has millions of people living in cities beside neighbours they don't even know. Children and teens need to be protected from harms and exploitation so there are age limits, regardless of the individual. You may argue about what the age should be, but there's not much of an argument that kids don't need protections.

" It depends on the moderation rules... "

Who has the time or inclination or fairness to moderate properly? And who's to judge what's fair?

I am not against protections for kids necessarily, but kids are already protected from things like rape, kidnapping or assault just like adults are. Claiming that they're just too dumb to consent and are somehow retroactively "victims" in completely voluntary and happy relationships is wrong.

Who has the time or inclination or fairness to moderate properly? And who's to judge what's fair?

I really don't know, but if rude comments below the pictures of teen girls are your main problem that's not much of a problem. One can just choose to grow a skin and not read them.

Or simply not feature them at all.

Yes, maybe. Maybe not having comments would be the best idea. But the issue aren't comments to such pics... the issue is how anti-free speech and unreasonable the right is. It's as bad as left.
