Seems like funny could be meant by some as ridicule on posts that would be hard to construe as such. Perhaps it really doesn't matter.

I can see it, I'm not big in to that type of use personally because it still promotes the content higher on the front page, so it's not really effective as a protest vote.

white-bulbed

^ Came up in textarea when I hit reply.

Someone marked my comment as funny, lol.

A Saidit user wasn't happy about funny: https://saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/6w4/are_the_trolls_here_now_last_night_someone_took/

I don't know, I would think that someone would be able to choose just one option (insightful, funny) and be worth the same amount. So the value would be equal, the tag just becomes meta data.

I do like the idea of tag what is useful and leave the rest behind.

Anything highlighted becomes a quote in your reply when you hit the reply button. So you must've had "white-bulbed" highlighted.

I don't want them to be equal, because I want insightful things prioritized over funny things, because I don't want this site to become reddit.

Plus you can still vote both, so having them the same score wouldn't reduce people gaming the system if someone chose to do so.

Yep, I was looking up what white-bulbed means. lol

No worries, just my 2 cents. Thank you for making saidit a nice place to be :)
