It's funny to say "hashtag" on SaidIt where I can't start a line with hashtag without a \ in front.

blocking is a way to deescalate, if you start sending notifications the whole thing changes.

If you get blocked, worst case scenario is you make a comment that they will never see, but everyone else still does. so I see no issues and I'm lazy and want to work on exciting things.

But if people don't know they've been blocked they're wasting time and energy and even emotions.

A colour change would be MUCH preferable to notifications though. I should have worded it better. IMO this is exciting - and if you were to colour it I could stand by the blocking which I currently am very much against. (If my little opinion matters for anything.)

Switching topics, but dude I think I have the thumbnail stuff working better than ever before. It was upgraded last night. Maybe pay attention and let me know if it seems any better, especially for the text posts.

Sound fantastic! I think. What did you affect? Was it [thumbnail](link) or detecting those long urls that don't end in an extension? Also YouTube has changed from PNGs to those WEBP I hate. Those are the only things I can think of. I'll do my best to watch out for anything. I don't recall seeing too many problems with it recently.

On some other matters I'd like to pick your brain on a few things when you have a moment:

1) /s/Surveillance/ I made a GIF banner, but could only upload JPG and PNG. I looked at another sub with an animated banner (I forget which. My power goes out and my Brave Browser fucks my over royally every time so all my shit is disorganized. I may go back to Vivaldi.) and they had a bizarre LARGE image with every frame laid out. Know anything about it? Also /s/WhiteOwlSocialClub/about/stylesheet/ clearly has GIFs but I don't know how they work or were uploaded - and they don't have .gifextensions. Any tips?

2) I'd like to finish my Ergonomix CSS but I have two things to learn. In the sidebar of /s/DecentralizeAllThings/ below the search I'd like to add multiple lines with links. Currently I can only do one line and it seems "inert" (I can't select it). I don't need to select it but maybe one day someone will want to copypasta some info, and of course the links need to be interactive. With whatever knowledge comes with solving that I can also add a link to the bottom of the sidebox where I have the theme and link.

3) I don't know how but I just noticed this issue is fixed on /s/WikiSpooks but seems almost fixed on /s/DecentralizeAllThings so I might just have to tweak that CSS - or I fixed it and had forgotten about it (it's been a couple months). The issue is about the aligning the tagline and flat-list up beside the expando.

I might start /s/ASCII_Art and animate a banner for it - in a several months, after I complete several things online and IRL. Having come out of my decade long fog, I'm almost back to my old scattered self, taking on too many projects.

Also, lemme know if/when you still want to do the mobile theme(s). I don't have a smartphone but I can borrow my neighbour's Samsung tablet long term (he never uses it) if that's similar and can help.

Text posts that have links somewhere in them, like how you'd add a link at the end hoping it would use that as the thumbnail. It was an SSL compatibility issues, so some sites it just would never work for.

Yeah CSS hacks are a pain. I'm not sure how to pull that particular one off. The old IP2 theme had some links across the top we could have copied. Why not add that stuff to the sidebar description field instead? Maybe we could find an example on reddit.
