(I fled from Reddit and this is my first time making a new post.)
Simple question: Is there a subsaidit that is specifically designed for cross-sub communication. Ie, I want to ask one sub what they think of something from another sub. But I can't post in their sub, since that would be off topic. But it's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask other people what they think about x, especially if they have differing views.
I know it's a bit meta, so I'll give an example. I'll make it one that is vacuous, because it is just meant to highlight the big picture. Let's say I am not a feminist (so, pre-first wave), but I want to know what full-blown feminists (current, 4th wave) think of r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen . It would be a bit rude to go to /s/Feminists and ask them. They could think it's an attack or encouragement of brigading or any number of things besides opening up honest dialogue, especially if it is a place only for Feminists (which means I'd get banned for posting there, in addition to the thread being removed).
I get that insulation can be a good thing, but the whole point of saidit is for people to be able to freely talk about things? I don't want the insulation to go away because I want to be able to address specific communities. So where do I go? Are all closed communities on saidit required to have an open version? I remember /r/TheRedPill had /r/AskTheRedPill where they don't mind challenge to their ideas. I know I could start founding a large number of subs, but I'm more of a casual user so I don't have the ability to moderate them (even if I weren't wary of mods).
