Very frequently as new websites have arrived, those like Gab, Voat, Bitchute, etc, it invariably doesn't fail that places like /pol/ will invade. Or groups "opposed to hate speech" try to take it down due to other extremists. Radicals from any group will either try to control it, or try to destroy it. Frankly, however, the internet has become a ridiculous place where the most radical voices are the only ones who get to speak consistently, and I'm really tired of this happening. Supporting free speech does not mean that I agree with, nor agree to see, your opinions. Blocking people is not censoring them. Saying they should stay on topic, obey saidit rules, is not censoring them either.

What any of my fellow political moderates need to do, I'd argue, is stay. Otherwise we just abandon yet another website that is possibly sympathetic to the absurdity of internet discourse being so poisoned. It is perhaps more important than ever that people who do not share in conspiracies or strong ideologies actually put up something of a fight. Haven't you wanted to be able to just have some sane conversations? I sure have. And in the meanwhile that must, necessarily, mean it's time to put down roots and refuse to be driven off by people spamming the same nonsense all day every day.

Do not give this place up just like everyone gave up Whoaverse. At some point the buck must stop, and I don't think anyone here is sympathetic to this new wave of propaganda being thrown in our faces. If we leave, yet again, we just give it up to them once more. How much are we willing to keep giving extremists, until nobody can have a sensible conversation anymore except privately? I say, hold fast this time. Weather the storm for once.
