You know what made reddit shitty? It wasn't the dev team (they were shitty too), it wasn't the website flaws, and it wasn't the banwave of censorship. It was the people. It was you guys.

The problem with reddit is that it is a completely controlled platform. The user behavior was a symptom of a horrible site, not the other way around. Freedom is the solution, not dictating people's behavior.
